With the penultimate Innes medal taking place last Saturday those playing knew that qualification places for the finals in September would be in short supply.
In division one Craig Starrs continued his handicap decrease with a nett 61 two shots better than club champion Neil Irvine and Michael Wood, Neil’s gross 63 however takes him into the Captains cup.
In division two Ewan Campbell produced the best round of his season so far with a nett 60 one shot better than Paul McRobb. Runaway leader in Division 3 was George Deans with a nett 59.
All the qualifiers will tee it up for the Innes Medal finals and Captains Cup on Saturday September 13. Some mid morning times are still available for this year’s Gents Open taking place on Saturday August 16 with an entry fee of £15.
This is always a popular event and prize money total will be in the region of £700.
Members are reminded that all ties should be arranged as early in the draw period as possible, with the ‘nights drawing in’ the opportunity for midweek evening golf will gradually decrease.
Keifer Brown recorded a hole in one in last Wednesdays Stableford competition at the 2nd hole.
