Swift jumps final hurdle before Aberdeen Anarchy

PRO-WRESTLING returned to Stonehaven this past Saturday night with a great night of action at the Town Hall.

The stars from WrestleZone were in fine form as an enthusiastic audience cheered on the bodyslamming extravaganza.

In the night’s main event, current Undisputed Champion Scotty Swift triumphed over Shawn Johnson, before having a war of words with next challenger Crusher Craib.

After the event, the “Red-Haired Warrior” said: “The momentum continues after a really close battle tonight with Shawn Johnson.

“In fairness, he took me to the limit but I was strong enough to come through it. Now, my full attention is on Crusher Craib who I defend the championship against on June 4th.

“Crusher was very impressive in Stonehaven and heads into the match with great momentum. I know what to expect and that I’ve an incredible task in front of me to stay Undisputed Champion.

A stacked card of action started in rare fashion as the tag team bout between Sterling Oil and current champions Mr. P and Kaden Garrick ended in a double disqualification.

There were wins in singles action for Damien and Andrew Wilde, while in mixed tag team action, Aspen Faith and Sammii-Jayne were victorious over rivals Lewis Girvan and Debbie Sharpe.

The annual event was the final stop on the road to Aberdeen Anarchy, WrestleZone’s annual supershow, and host Martyn Clunes thinks Stonehaven was the perfect lead-in to the big event.

He added: “The fans gave a lot of support to the wrestlers and it showed. With lots on the line, the action was really good and we can’t wait to come back to Stonehaven next year.”
