Body slamming wrestling action returns to Newtonhill later this month as the grapplers from WrestleZone get set for the big fight night.

Family-friendly pro-wrestling action is back at the Bettridge Centre on Saturday, February 27 with a huge night of fun set for the North-east’s wrestling fans.

The annual spectacle will see grapplers like Scotty Swift, Mr. P and Blue Thunder in mat action with six top matches scheduled for the event.

One grappler facing a huge night of action is the towering Crusher Craib. The “Creator of Carnage” stands well over 6ft 4inches tall and as a former two-time Undisputed Champion, is looking to regain past glories.

Crusher takes-on newcomer Mikkey Vago at the event and wants to make short work of the current tag team champion.

Crusher said: “Mikkey Vago is a slimy rat who has cheated his way to victory along with Chris Archer.

“Let’s see how he matches up to me without his tag team partner’s help! In Newtonhill, there is only one thing coming for the Heavy Metal Hooligan – and that is a Big Boot to his head!”

The grapplers are gearing up for the annual Regal Rumble event next month and the event in Newtonhill will determine the bone-crunchers’ fortunes ahead of the chance to win the Undisputed Championship.

WrestleZone host Martyn Clunes expects an exciting night of action and added: “Crusher Craib has no mercy and Mikkey Vago will need to be at his best if he’s going to beat him!

“This event in Newtonhill comes at a time when there is a lot going on in WrestleZone. We are taking the first steps towards June’s Aberdeen Anarchy supershow and all the grapplers are looking to get themselves a spot on that huge card.

“We are really looking forward to returning to the Bettridge Centre and hopeful a loud and enthusiastic crowd will be on hand to cheer the wrestlers on.”

Doors at the centre open at 7pm with the first bell at 7.30pm. Admission is pay-at-the-door only, priced £12 for adults and £10 for under 14s.
