Wrestling action returns to Stonehaven Town Hall this Saturday with Wrestlezone stars in action.

The family friendly pro-wrestling spectacle is one of the final stops before the promotions biggest event of the year, Aberdeen Anarchy.

For current undisputed champion Scotty Swift, the event also marks a milestone as the final stop on the way to one calendar year as champion.

In Stonehaven, Swift faces a huge challenge when he takes-on Shawn Johnson in the night’s main event.

While the championship will not be on the line, the contest will serve as the perfect warm-up for June’s Beach Ballroom showdown with challenger Crusher Craib.

The Red-Haired Warrior can’t wait to return to one of his favourite venues telling the Mearns Leader last week: “Stonehaven has always been good to me; the fans are loud and love their wrestling.

“The atmosphere they create can really help spur us on. My match against Shawn Johnson brings mixed emotions for me.

“The transformation in Shawn is incredible; and no doubt he is now a much-tougher opponent in singles competition.

“But given recent history, this will be a bit of fight as we face-off for this match.

“Losing this match to Shawn in Stonehaven is not an option.

“While the championship will not be on the line, that does not lessen the challenge for me.

“Shawn will be out to take me down and make sure I don’t make it to Aberdeen Anarchy on June 4.

“I can’t let that distract me from the job in hand, but I know it’s going to be a very close encounter on May 7th.”

Six top matches await wrestling fans as wrestling returns to Stonehaven Town Hall for the sixth successive year.

Also scheduled is a defence of the tag team titles as Mr. P & Kaden Garrick face-off against Sterling Oil, while other grapplers such as Blue Thunder, Johnny Lions and Damien are also for action.

Doors at the town hall open at 7pm with the first bell at 7.30pm.

Admission is pay-at-the-door only priced £12 for adults and £10 for under 14s.
