NO GOLF DUE TO COLD CONDITIONS

THERE was another golf free weekend at the club due to the three inches of snow that lay over the course.

This meant there were no changes to qualifying scores in each of the singles and doubles competitions. As there are only two more qualifying weekends to go before the Finals it has been decided that only eight best scores will now be required.

Players have now the opportunity to either reach eight scores or discard their two worst scores with better ones.

As present the top six leading scores in each section are as follows:- Singles - Bob Leiper - 37.5, Jim Lonie - 36.25, Richard Tindall - 36.1, Donald Mitchell, Ian Smith - 36, Kenny Duncan - 35.6.

Doubles scratch - Gordon Adamson/Glen Melvin - 63.3, Neil Irvine/Harry Roulston - 63.8, Stuart Soutar/Iain Taylor - 65.3, Stewart Allsop/Brian Lawson - 65.6, Barry McGillivray/Stuart Dempster - 66.5, Alistair Duncan/Brian Hunter - 66.8.

Doubles handicap - Eric Innes/Jim Hepburn - 59, Stewart Allsop/Brian Lawson - 59.25, Ian Hastie/John Starrs - 59.5, Alistair Duncan/Brian Hunter - 60.1, Alister Barnett/Tom Simpson - 61, Malcolm Macewen/Sandy Walker - 61.3.
