There were a number of excellent scores at Stonehaven Golf Club over the weekend in both the singles and doubles sections. Top of the leaderboard in the singles section was Richard Tindall with 39 points.
This was enough to give him a one point lead over Steve McGhie and Frank Urquhart. There were four players on 36 points.

Steve’s score allowed him to move into second place behind Ian Smith in the qualifying places for the winter finals.
In the doubles section there was a three way tie at the top in the scratch section between Stewart Allsop & Brian Lawson, Colin Arthur & Alan Officer and Willie Pittendreigh & Graeme Adamson all on 64.
In the handicap section clear winners were Alister Barnett & Tom Simpson with a fine nett 56 to win by two strokes from Stewart Allsop & Brian Lawson.

Top four qualifiers in the scratch section are now Neil Irvine & Harry Roulston, Stewart Allsop & Brian Lawson, Colin Arthur & Alan Officer and Willie Pittendreigh & Graeme Adamson.
In the handicap section Alister Barnett & Tom Simpson are comfortable leaders with John Neal & Douglas Henderson and George Deans & Gordon McHardy in second and third place.
There is a tie for fourth place between Ian Hastie & John Starrs and Martin McCoy & Colin Polson. I am sure ther will be a few more changes over the next few weeks before the finals on March 10/11.
