Luthermuir Women travelled to table toppers Falkirk Ladies Reserves knowing this would be a hard afternoon playing on an Astro pitch that the girls had previously struggled with on two occasions.
Falkirk had the bulk of the early possession but did not create a concrete chance until 10 minutes, when Martin shot just over from 25 yards.
Luthermuir had a chance when Reoch was fouled out wide on the right and Bruce fired a shot at goal that was gathered by the keeper.
Luthermuir then enjoyed some posession of the ball and Barker shot wide of the target from the edge of the box.
On 33 minutes Martin fired in a shot from 25 yards that hit the crossbar and went out. Luthermuir continued to try and frustrate their opponents and on 39 minutes Reoch was fouled out on the left, Bruce fired her free kick just wide of the post.
The last chance of the half fell to Harkins when a ball fired over from a free kick and she headed it wide from 6 yards with just the keeper to beat.
Luthermuir went out with the same game plan as the first half and tried to prevent the home side getting any clear cut chances.
The first chance of the second half fell to Luthermuir on 52 minutes when some great hold up play by Reoch released Forrester in on goal and she shot wide of the post.
Eventually the Falkirk attacks paid off in 72 minutes. A ball through the middle of the park was missed by Middleton and Graham raced clear on goal and coolly slotted home. Luthermuir then pushed Murison up front for the remainder of the game and some good work by Reoch and Murison created a chance for Forrester who cut in the box but her shot went just wide.
the final chance fell to Murison, when she skipped away from a defender and fired her shot wide of the post.
