Winter League singles winner, Chris Taylor continued his fine form into the first competition of the summer season.

He had the best scratch and nett score of the day with an excellent one under par 65 nett 59. This allowed him to clearly win the division one section by 4 strokes from Callum Mitchell and George Knowles. In division 2 there was a tie at the top between John Cowie and John Cowling with a nett 62. Alan Wood and Richard Tindall were two strokes further behind. In division 3 Kevin Boyle pipped Kevin Reid by 1 stroke with a nett 63. Mark Paton was in third place with a nett 65.

Chris’s scratch score of 65 was the best of the day by 4 strokes from Callum Mitchell and Neil Irvine. His round consisted of 15 pars, birdies at the 10th and 17th holes and a solitary bogey at the 15th hole.

The Ladies Winter Games are finished with the following winners – Winter League winner with 284 points was Wilma Lawrence, Winter Ringer winner with 60 points was Fiona Lamont and Winter Eclectic winner with 52.8 points was Rose Riddell. The New Season Texas Scramble was played on Sunday and the winning team with 56 was Fiona Sim, Ragnhild Ericsson and Fiona Armstrong.

The Italian themed evening on Friday was well attended with a superb buffet. The next event is the Diners Club on Friday 20th April, book early as numbers are limited. A Curry night & Disco is arranged for Friday 4th May.
