Tight at top of Mearns League

it is tight at the top in the Mearns Pool League. In matches played last Monday, December 17, the top three teams Anchor Chiefs, Redhall and Sally all lost.

Back on December 3, the Chiefs opened up the title race by winning 7-5 at the Redhall.

December 3: Scots Corner 9 Drumlithie 3; Royal 6 Sally 6; Western 7 Harbour 5; Redhall 5 Chiefs 7; Cutty Sark 8 Crown 4.

December 10: Cutty Sark 6 Scots Corner 6; Crown 6 Harbour 6; Sally 10 Kings 2; Redhall 9 Drumlithie 3; Chiefs 9 Western 3.

December 17: Western 4 Crown 8; Harbour 7 Redhall 5; Kings 5 Cutty Sark 7; Drumlithie 7 Sally 5; Royal 7 Chiefs 5.

Going in to the Festive break, Anchor Chiefs and Redhall are locked together with 20 points from 12 matches.

Sally and Royal are next with 16 points, but Royal have a game in hand.
