AFTER a fantastic day in 2010, the Stoney Stomp returns to Stonehaven on Saturday, August 27.
The Stomp features two wonderful routes, following the scenic trails of Fetteresso Forest on the outskirts of Stonehaven; a seven mile route looping around the forest past some fantastic views and a shorter, 5 km trail with equally stunning panoramics of the countryside. Both races start at 12 noon.
As the evening draws in, a foot-stomping ceilidh gets underway to unwind those weary legs.
Bringing the day to a lively end, everyone is invited along to Mackie Academy, to dance the night away and enjoy live music courtesy of North East Ceilidh band Yousedancing.
Bring your own refreshments to have alongside some delicious stovies.
The ceilidh will run from 7pm - 11 pm.
The Stoney Stomp is a not for profit event and any proceeds from the day will be donated to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
There will also be a raffle at the ceilidh to raise funds for the charity.
Race entry is £8, ceilidh tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for under 12s and there will be a special price of £8 for those who run either of the two race earlier in the day.
