Gala Week in Luthermuir looks set to impress, with a fun-filled seven days of events planned for the whole community to enjoy.
The week will run from June 2 - 8, and the organisers are anticipating an even bigger and better event this year.
On Wednesday, June 4, there will be a Ladies Night - a pamper and shopping evening with a complimentary glass of wine on arrival and a finger buffet served during the evening.
Encore Dress and Vintage Agency of Fettercairn will be providing a fashion show, Pamperzone will be providing nail treatments and Irene Russell will be giving taster CACI facials. There will also be Reiki taster sessions, makeup and hand massage.
This over-18s evening will kick off at 7pm and run until 9.30.
Following the success of last year’s event, the male cooks of the village are gearing up for a repeat performance on Friday, June 6.
The cookery demonstration will feature new recipes and perhaps even new faces. Tickets will include a glass of wine and tasters of the dishes demonstrated.
Gala day on Sunday the 8th will once again feature a fun dog show, highland dancers, stalls, games and, of course, refreshments in the form of teas and homebakes or beer tent and BBQ, depending on your preference!
New to the gala this year, there will be the opportunity to have a go at archery with the team from Mearns Archery, have a caricature drawn by DV Cartoons and 2Wit 2Woo Owl Rescue Centre will have some of their birds of prey on display and there will be a chance to handle them and have your photo taken.
Tickets for June 4 and 6 will be on sale prior to the events and numbers are limited, so best to buy in advance. Tickets for the annual raffle will go on sale mid-April.
