Portlethen Gala has been hailed as the best one yet, with a huge turnout despite concerns over a lack of support from the community.

Organisers had said that they were disappointed with the lack of enthusiasm from the wider Portlethen community as they asked for volunteers leading up to the event, but on the day the residents did not disappoint as they turned out in their droves to enjoy the day.

The intention was to “cater for everyone” and this seemed to be the case, with face-painting and bouncy castles, to climbing walls, archery, and various stalls as well as teas, coffees and homebakes on offer alongside a beer tent and bbq.ere are some of our pictures from the day.

A climbing wall was just one of the activites on offer at the gala, which was well attended by the community.
