Aberdeen Studio Theatre Group will be performing ‘The Regina Monologues’ at Mearns Community Campus in Laurencekirk next month.
The production, by Rebecca Russell and Jenny Wafer, is a modern take on the six wives of Henry VIII, and it has nothing to do with another set of ‘monologues’ with a similar sounding title, of which you may have heard.
In an innovative and entertaining way the writers transplant the stories of Henry’s six wives into the 21st century, and by doing so, show that their lives might be not so far away from those of modern women. This play regularly moves from ‘hilarious’ to ‘poignant’ throughout and is certainly thought provoking.
It will be performed on Tuesday, November 11, running for approximately 75 minutes without an interval.
It starts at 7.30pm in the Community Campus theatre and tickets are priced at £10 or £8 concession.
