The sky’s the limit as panto favourites Elaine C Smith and Alan McHugh officially launch this year’s fastest-selling panto, Jack and the Beanstalk, with a giant ceiling-busting beanstalk in the city’s Union Square.
The two stars are to return to His Majesty’s Theatre in December.
And back directing the HMT panto for the second year in succession will be Alex Norton, renowned as DCI Matt Burke in STV’s long-running police drama Taggart.
Over 36,000 tickets have already been sold for the show which doesn’t open until Saturday, December 3 and will run at the city centre theatre until Sunday, January 8.
Together for the third record-breaking year in succession, the three stars form one of the strongest panto partnerships ever seen in Scotland.
Packed with an abundance of laughs, stunning sets and fabulous costumes Jack and the Beanstalk has His Majesty’s Theatre’s hallmark of value-for -money and outstanding entertainment for all ages.
