The happiest street in Aberdeenshire is lighting up the winter nights and helping Stonehaven get into the winter spirit.

Following a successful switch on party at the weekend, several of the houses in the street are now showing off their impressive display of Christmas lights in the hopes of raising funds for Friends of Anchor.

The lights will be on every night from 3.30pm until 10pm until Hogmanay, but some houses won’t have their lights on until after 4pm.

Amazingly, over £1,300 has already been raised since the lights were turned on at the weekend.

This will be the second year that the neighbours have decided to go ahead with the lights since original organiser, Tom Bruce lost his battle with cancer in 2015.

The Malcolm’s Way lights display has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2009. In the past, the Bruce family and their neighbours have collected money for various good causes, including for a kidney dialysis unit for Stonehaven.

Will you be going along?
