Aberdeenshire Council seeks views on transport

Aberdeenshire Council has launched an online consultation on its draft Local Transport Strategy, and is seeking views on the proposed objectives and actions.

As part of the wide-ranging transport strategy, the council has set out a number of actions covering everything from walking, cycling, and public transport to car parking, road safety and winter maintenance.

Chairman of Aberdeenshire Council’s Infrastructure Services Committee, Councillor Peter Argyle, welcomed the launch of the consultation.

He said: “In a large rural area such as Aberdeenshire, transport plays a crucial role in all aspects of life and residents have the opportunity to comment on our proposals for transport improvements.

“All responses received will be carefully considered and used to inform the development of a final Local Transport Strategy, which is planned for publication later in the year.”

As part of the consultation, a questionnaire has been developed and is available to complete online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/draftLTS

The survey will be running until Monday, October 31.
