With just three weeks to go until a consultation event is due to take place in Laurencekirk’s Dickson Hall, we want to hear your views.
The event is scheduled to take place in the Station Road venue on January 21, from 2 until 8pm.
We want to know your views about the ‘Access to Laurencekirk’ study, the notorious A937/A90 junction - which is an accident black spot - and what you think should be done about it.
The junction campaign facebook group currently has over 3500 members who post near misses on a daily basis.
People have been invited to have their say on the findings of a study commissioned last December by the North East of Scotland Transport Partnership (Nestrans) in conjunction with Transport Scotland, Tactran, Aberdeenshire and Angus Councils.
The study’s aim is to develop a preferred solution for access between the A90 trunk road and Laurencekirk and Montrose that is cost effective, improves road safety and meets the needs of local businesses and residents, while ensuring the efficient operation of Laurencekirk High Street.
Option-testing is nearing completion, but feedback on the results will form part of the final appraisal.
