President Helen Doig welcomed members and two elderly past members to a Christmas meal at Kirkton Garden Centre in Stonehaven, which was enjoyed by all. Winners of the Best Wrapped Gift judged by one of the waitresses were 1. Margaret Ross, 2. Marlene Walker, 3. Helen Doig.

President Aileen Gauld welcomed members to their Christmas meeting at Catterline School. Members brought a savoury or sweet dish and an impressive spread was provided. After the meal various games were organised and everyone received a Secret Santa gift. Mrs Jocelyn Mair and Mrs Doreen Beedie judged the monthly competitions: Jar of Mincemeat - 1. Mary Mair, 2. Linda Swan proposed the vote of thanks and wished everyone a happy Christmas and a safe journey home.
President, Mrs Olive Henry, welcomed members to the Institute Christmas Dinner at the Sauchieburn Hotel, Luthermuir. After an excellent meal, the evening entertainment was presented by Eunice, Marjorie and Aileen. This consisted of a “Christmas Quiz”, “Consequences”, followed by “Charades”, which caused much hilarity. Presents were exchanged in “pass the parcel” mode.
The evening concluded by Mrs Henry proposing a vote of thanks to all concerned, and wishing everyone the compliments of the season.
Our December meeting was the 85th birthday of Kinneff W.R.I.
We celebrated with a party and a Christmas meal served by Jenny’s kitchen. and thenplayed games, recited poems and sung carols. Competition was a Christmas Cracker - 1. Phyllis Gauld, 2. Doreen Beedie.
Members Ann Masson and Mary Wood cut the birthday cake. We all had a fun night. We did secret santa and President Jocelyn Mair gave thanks to the caterers for the lovely meal.
President Audrey Lowson welcomed members to the meeting held on Wednesday, December 11. After business, three members entertained with a Christmas theme on flower arranging, desserts and a quiz. The beautiful arrangements were very kindly raffled for funds, the winner of the quiz received a prize and members tasted the desserts. The monthly competition - A Christmas Tree Decoration was won by Christine Middleton, 2 Kathleen Paterson and 3 Joan Thomas. Flower of the Month was won by Elizabeth Pratt, 2 Kathleen Paterson and 3 Hilda McBain. After a lovely tea, Audrey closed the meeting wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Mrs Christian Milne, president, welcomed members and visitors to our December meeting. After business, she introduced Sharon Greaslie from Edzell, who gave a demonstration on making the most beautiful Christmas holly wreaths. afterwards, some of the members had a chance to show their skill on making a holly wreath with a little help from Sharon. We all had a great evening. Mrs Mary Farries was Hostess and gave the vote of thanks.
