Officers in Stonehaven are appealing for information following a number of break-ins and thefts overnight between Saturday 12 March 2016 and Sunday 13 March 2016.
Sheds and garages have been broken into in the Ramsay Road, Christie Crescent, Slug Road, Baird Street and West Glebe areas of Stonehaven and a low three-figure sum of gardening equipment, alcohol and tools have been stolen. An orange mountain bike was also stolen and later recovered. Additionally, some of the garden equipment has been recovered.
PC Ray Lawlor from the Kincardine and Mearns Community Policing Team said: “We are appealing for information following a number of break-ins to garden sheds and garages and are also urging the public to be vigilant and aware that opportunistic thieves are operating in the area.
“We are particularly keen to speak with a white man aged 20 to 30 years old who was seen in the area. He is described as being 5’10’’ to 6’’ tall and was wearing a burgundy three-quarter length hooded waterproof jacket, blue Superdry jeans, grey and orange Superdry beanie hat, a black mountain biking face scarf with a skull motif and was carrying an army-style camouflaged rucksack. He was riding a black mountain bike with silver writing on it.”
