First knittykittybangbang daytime summer art and textile classes in The Venue, Laurencekirk. will take place at the start of July.
Mearns designer Carolyn Anderson Shepherd is to hold her first set of art and textile five week courses in the Mearns facility starting on Thursday July 11.
Tonight (Thursday) they will be holding a beginners crochet class at Dickson Hall Cafe, Laurencekirk, between 7-9pm for £10.
The classes are aimed at teenagers and adults and are intended to be entertaining and relaxing sessions, while still learning and improving.
Students can choose their own media and own development while still having the support of an enthusiastic professional.
The art class will focus on fine art and drawing in the students’ chosen technique or media.
The art class will run for five Thursday afternoons from 1-4pm, starting on July 11.
The art classes will cost £75 per person, which includes some basic materials and as much tea and coffee as you can drink.
In the textile class, students can learn a number of techniques such as sewing, embroidery, basic printing, knitting, crochet, and are welcome to bring along their own sewing or knitting machines.
The textile class will run for five Friday afternoons starting on July 12.
The cost of the textile classes is £75 per person, which includes some basic materials for you to work with.
