The fifth Stonehaven Baby Fair is offering a fantastic opportunity to take part in some taster session of baby signing, drama and music for your little ones, and let’s not forget the Mearns Leader Bonny Baby Competition.

The Baby Fair takes place at Stonehaven Town Hall on Saturday May 30 from 10am-2pm and the Mearns Leader will once again be joining forces with Stonehaven Baby Fair to find the Mearns’ cutest kids!

The competition proved hugely popular at last year’s Baby Fair, so to ensure your little one doesn’t miss out book your session now. Entrants should be aged up to three years old and bookings can be made by calling photographer Ian Shewan on 01569 767769 or emailing

Baby Fair organiser Nicole Hepburn said: “Our Bonny Baby competition was a big hit at last year’s event. This year’s competition is once again being supported by the Mearns Leader, and we are anticipating even more interest. So to avoid disappointment make sure you contact Ian Shewan as soon as you can.”

In addition to the Bonny Baby Contest this year the Stonehaven Baby Fair are offering taster sessions in the upper town hall. Tiny Talk Angus and the Mearns who specialise in baby signing will be offering a taster session. Sandra from Sing a Sign will be offering a sample of her class and for all your budding performers Pyjama Drama will also be holding a sample class. Tiny Talk will be 11-11-30am, Sing a Sign will be 12-12.30pm, Pyjama Drama will be from 1-1.30pm.

To ensure you place make sure you visit the stands and put your name down for the session. Please note the hall that these demos will be held in is upstairs and not accessible for prams/buggies. Following the popularity of last year’s goody bags, the bags will again be available at this year’s event with lots of fantastic samples and offers.

This year they will be asking for a small donation, as little as 5p or as much as you can spare, for the bags in aid of The Archie Foundation, which will also be running the Baby Fair raffle.
