A 23-year-old Stonehaven man has appeared in court in connection with a fatal car crash that killed an Aberdeen mother.
Andrew John Carney was charged with driving and drug offences at Aberdeen Sheriff Court this week after a woman died in a crash at Aberdeen’s Beach Esplanade last week.
Council worker Jacqueline Lyon from Cove suffered fatal injuries after her red BMW 3 Series collided with a black Volkswagen Golf on Monday 27 August.
Carney made no plea and was bailed, but a Crown appeal against bail saw him remanded pending the outcome.
At the beginning of the week, Grampian Police revisited the scene one week on and made a fresh appeal for potential witnesses.
