British Legion World War I service this Sunday

The Royal British Legion Scotland Stonehaven Branch are holding a commorative service this Sunday August 3 in the Market Square.

The event is to mark those that died in service of their country in the first world war and is open to the everyone. The Stonehaven Branch have told us that all from Stonehaven and the surrounding area are welcome at the service on Sunday.

The service is to be conducted by Rev Rosslyn Duncan and music is being provided by the Newtonhill Pipeband.

Seating will be provided and there will be a wreath laying service at the memorial immediately following.

In the event that weather conditions are poor, the service will be held in the upstairs room of the Legion building.

Saturday August 2, usual coffee morning 10am till noon all proceeds go to an ex service charity.

Saturday August 2 Music by Tom Clarke in the upstairs lounge, 8.30pm

Monday August 4, A Candlelight vigil in the legion at 10pm, all welcome.

Saturday August 16, Music by David Neal in the upstairs lounge, 8.30pm.

Saturday August 23, The Alistair Salter due upstairs at 8.30pm

Saturday August 30, Music by the eighties tribute band starts 6.30pm
