Senior pupils of Carronhill school inspect the newly laid paths on their plot at the Cowie allotments. The slabs have been laid to make better wheelchair access.
The school is very grateful for a generous donation of three tons of sand from builders merchant GPH of Spurryhillock. Thanks are also due to building contractor Greig Walker of Stonehaven for delivering the sand free of charge.
Another builder Willy Thomson, a member of the Friends of Carronhill school, delivered the slabs and led the team that laid the 27 slabs. The Friends of Carronhill have held a workparty at the plot and provided timber for upgrading the raised beds. The senior pupils have started collecting leaves to make leaf mould in the new compost bins which they and some parents have made.
