Thousands of disadvantaged children in and around Aberdeen received special Christmas gifts after an appeal by Cash for Kids ensured that Santa visited after all.
Organisations and members of the public from across the north-east were asked to donate toys and gifts of any value, which were then delivered to youngsters who otherwise may not have received any presents.
The thousands of gifts were given to 2,422 local children.
Other presents, such as soft furnishings and toiletry sets, were also distributed to youngsters who had recently moved out of children’s homes into their own accommodation.
Asda, which has stores across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, was the main sponsor of this year’s event.
