A Johnshaven family are to hold their second ‘celebration of an inspiration’ night in memory of mum and wife Amanda Sangster.
The Sangster family, dad Mike and sons Fraser and Ross, are looking to raise as much cash as possible for local charity CLAN Cancer Support at the event, to be held on Saturday, March 26.
Tickets are available for the night at Johnshaven Village Hall, which was well attended last year and includes a raffle, auction, stovies and local bands.
The family raised an incredible £11,500 for CLAN Cancer Support in a year in 2015 by doing a variety of fundraisers including turning their hair purple and doing the popular CLAN Landmark Walk.
Ross Sangster told the Mearns Leader this week: “I can’t believe that after months of planning and getting things organised it’s now only a few weeks away, but it’s all worth it to celebrate my mum’s life while raising funds for a fantastic charity in CLAN at the same time.
“It would be great to see a turnout like we had last year as so many people have given up their time to help make all this possible and I can’t thank everyone enough who has helped out.”
Tickets are £10 or £5 for under 16s and are available from Ross or Johnshaven Stores.
