The Bettridge Centre in Newtonhill has made a successful application to the Meikle Carewe windfarm community fund.

The group has been given over £1800 to help them purchase additional soft play equipment and matting for children.

A member of the Bettridge Centre committee told the Leader: “We are absolutely delighted that our grant application from the Miekle Carewe Windfarm Fund was successful.

“Every penny that the Bettridge Centre gets goes straight back in to improvingit for those who use it.

‘‘On this occasion, the money will be used for soft play equipment.”

The centre aims to provide a facility that can be used by anyone who needs it and hopes that the public will let the group know what they would like to see happening there - whether it be a one-off event or regular clubs.
