Chorus take over the catwalk
Stonehaven Chorus in conjuction with Elzabeth Havens of Stonehaven recently held their second autum fashion show last Friday, October 4.
The cloths were formed from the extensive range at Elizabath havens on Barclay Street.
The gentlemen of the chorus were on hand to provide the light entertainment at the interval while, the ladies of the Stonehaven Chorus were the models for the evening. Hair was done by Cheryl Herd of ‘gorgeous Wedding Hair’.
Unfortunately, the evening was briefly halted twice. The first interruption took place when paramedics had to be called to attend to a member of the audience who fell ill. Happily, the lady has now fully recovered.
Fifteen minutes later, an incident in the gym activated the fire alarm which resulted in the evacuation of the building and the subsequent attendance of fire fighters in two fire engines!
After a short period of time spent outside in the fine evening air, everyone returned to the hall and the show resumed.
Overall, the evening was a great success and a good time was had by all, notwithstanding the unforeseen interruptions.
The Stonehaven Chorus is a mixed voice choir of around 50 people from a wide range of backgrounds. The group rehearse weekly in Mackie Academy, on Mondays at 7.30pm, with recitals taking place in December and May each year.
