Eneco Wind UK, owners and operators of Tullo Wind Farm, are to host a Community Information Session on Wednesday, July 3, at the Masonic Hall in Laurencekirk.
Taking place between 2 and 8pm, the event aims to provide the community with the opportunity to learn more about the construction of the Tullo Wind Farm Extension project.
Work on the 10-turbine extension, with a capacity to generate power for over 13,000 homes, has recently commenced with a target completion date of the end of the year.
There is a timetable of events with the site mobilisation to happen within the next month and access route works also due to commence.
It is hoped that the first turbine will arrive by August with the erection bemng finished by October, and with ongoing work happening on the site.
At the information day, Eneco will also showcase some of the community groups which are this year’s recipients of the Tullo Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund.
Daniel Badcock, Development Manager at Eneco Wind UK, hopes that the event will be of interest to local people.
He said: “We were delighted with the community support for the Tullo Wind Farm Extension project and are very much looking forward to updating residents on our progress and timeframe for completion.”
