Could you help to run Bervie’s Burgh Hall?

Inverbervie's Burgh Hall is a hub of activity for the community.

For many in Inverbervie, the Burgh Hall - run by a committee of volunteers and housing a wide range of activities - is at the heart of the community.

The hall is a busy and bustling place seven days a week and hosts everything from toddler groups to exercise classes - and everything in between.

But there is a feeling that you “get out of it what you put into it,” and members are hoping that their upcoming AGM will produce some new faces willing to help with the running of the building.

Committee member Caroll Evans said: “The Royal Burgh of Inverbervie is a thriving community with activities for all ages taking part seven days a week.

‘‘ The hub of these activities is the Burgh Hall on Farquhar Street.

“It’s essentially our town hall, where we can meet, educate and take part in exercise classes and more.

“This great local amenity is committee run on a voluntary basis, like many activities and groups in The Royal Burgh.

“The Burgh Hall houses our pre-school group, weekly bingo social club and our youth club, to name but a few.”

The annual general meeting (AGM) is being held this coming Monday, February 3, at 7pm, for people wishing to be involved in this year annual art show, share their views or to meet some new people.

It will be an open meeting and all members of the public are welcome to attend.
