Man assaulted and robbed in his Portlethen home by gang of four

Detectives are appealing for the help of the public following an assault and robbery in Portlethen on Saturday, December 5.

Around 9.30am, officers received a report of a 23-year-old man having been assaulted and robbed at his home address in Burnside Gardens in Portlethen.

As a result of the attack, the victim received cuts and bruising to his face and had his phone and money stolen.

Detective Constable Wallace Dickson, Aberdeen CID, said: “There appears to have been four people, two men and two women at the scene of this attack.

“One of the men was said to be wearing a black jacket with a grey hooded top underneath, and the second man was wearing a grey tracksuit.

“One of the women was said to be wearing light coloured trousers and a dark jacket with a fur-lined hood, and the second a black jacket and tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down the legs.

“It is believed all four got into a dark-coloured Vauxhall Corsa car following the attack.

“I would ask anyone who may have been in the Burnside Gardens area on Saturday morning, or anyone who may have dash-cam footage from that time to please come forward.”
