Team CLAN is full for one of the North-east’s most popular runs but there is still a chance for keen locals to don their running shoes on behalf of the charity.
CLAN Cancer Support is an official charity partner for this year’s Baker Hughes 10K race, and has spaces available for the well-liked event which is taking place on Sunday, May 17.
The charity also has runners taking part at this year’s Run Balmoral on the weekend of April 25-26 after all of its races were snapped up.
CLAN’s participation in both races has grown in recent years, with more than 200 runners taking part in 2014’s Baker Hughes 10K, raising over £26,000 for CLAN in the process.
Susan Crighton, CLAN’s fund-raising manager, said: “We are delighted to have filled our allocated spaces for Run Balmoral which has, along with Baker Hughes, been a great source of fund-raising for us over the years.
“This is a great opportunity to take part in a popular event and there are a limited number of spaces left for Baker Hughes now, so we would encourage people to sign up now to avoid being disappointed.”
