Newcomers are welcome to book in for the next monthly meeting of Stonehaven nature watch club on Sunday 24 November 2013, 2 – 4 pm, South Church Halls, Cameron Street, Stonehaven.
Hedgehogs and hibernation is one of the topics this weekend and using a variety of games, crafts, and fun activities the group will explore the issues related to animals preparing for winter.
The emphasis is on fun and participation. At past events parents have enjoyed themselves as much as their children!
Affiliated to the Scottish Wildlife Trust, this junior group, aimed primarily at 8-14 year olds and their families, is run by trained volunteers for families interested in exploring and enjoying nature and local wildlife.
A recent assessment visit from SWT staff rated the Stonehaven group very highly on all aspects of organisation and club activities.
To cover running costs for each event there is a charge of £1 for children aged 8 years and over but no charge for parents. Under 8’s must attend with a parent and are welcome free of charge.
If families would like to book in or go on the mailing list for news of future events please contact Alan Belton. Tel 01569 767662
