Labour Councillor Alison Evison (North Kincardine) has called for greater support for Scotland’s carers.
Speaking on International Carers’ Rights Day, Councillor Evison said: “The day is an opportunity to connect with carers and reaffirm our commitment to them.
“Too often they are forgotten and taken for granted when they deserve our support and appreciation.
“Scottish Labour has always been committed to upholding carers’ rights and ensuring that the best possible support is available to them across the country.
‘‘I am delighted to give my backing to Scottish Labour’s Carers’ Pledge.
“I have often raised the needs of Young Carers in particular in council committees.
‘‘These dedicated youngsters put the interests of family members first, but we must also recognise that they, too, require some help and
