Exchange students leave

Lauren Mulhearn and Luka Dale, both 16 are returning to Caloundra City School in Brisbane, Australia after spending six weeks with S4 year group at Lathallan School.

They enjoyed all the classes, boarding at the school, trips out, the Mini Highland Games and Luka performed several violin solos at the school’s Open Day last week.

The exchange follows a visit during the summer time by Neil Foster and Christine Dunnett, during which the Lathallan pupils immersed themselves into Australian culture and educational life.

Richard Toley, Headmaster of Lathallan said, “We wish Luka and Lauren well as they have enjoyed this exciting exchange programme and look forward to keeping in contact with them. Their stay with us gave them both a huge amount of insight into a totally different environment, which will have benefits for their future studies and careers. We are sure the Lathallan pupils travelling to Brisbane next year will receive a similar exchange experience. These exchanges provide mutually beneficial studying and travel opportunities for all the pupils involved.”
