A Fettercairn woman has completed a marathon cycle and raised more than £5000 for charity.
Mum of two, Vhari Campbell along with two friends, Morna Wilson-Smith and Laura Morley, cycled 120 miles over two days to raise money for a children’s Orphanage in Rwanda which Vhari is going to visit for a month.
The forty-four-year-olds cycle started in Fettercairn, over the Cairn O Mount to Banchory, Aboyne, Ballater, Braemar, over the Spittal of Glenshee, through Glen Isla to Kirriemuir, Edzell and back to Fettercairn. After her marathon cycle challenge Vhari could have earned a break, but she is determined to raise as much money as possible for the orphanage. Therefore she is holding a Scottish night in Stonehaven on Sunday to raise funds.
The night will take place in Stonehaven Town Hall on Sunday, June 24 from 7pm.
Different bands will perform on the night including the Newtonhill pipe band. the Stoney Fiddlers, the Fettercairn Tune Meisters, Doric Elvis and many more.
A Bar will be available on the night and there will be araffle. Tickets are £5 or £3 for concessions.
