Fettercairn Public Property Committee are preparing for their final major fundraiser of 2015.
A Silent Auction is to be held in Fettercairn Church Hall on Saturday October 24 in Fettercairn Church Hall from 1.3-4pm. There are several items for sale; both new and good quality items have already been handed in. The Committee will be delighted to accept further items to sell. They cannot take items any bigger than a coffee table as there is simply not enough room. However, if anyone has a larger item they wish to sell they could always hand in a photograph.
Helen Thomson, Fettercairn Public Property Committee reports on the amazing level of support the committee has received in it’s fundraising efforts from individuals and groups in the community. Since the beginning of the year over £7000 has been raised and, in addition, there have beeen several generous donations. With the Silent Auction still to take place, and fundraisers being organised by other village groups, the final total for the whole year will be beyond anything they could ever have thought possible.
As the residents of Fettercairn and the surrounding community already know, more money will be required to see all the necessary repairs come to fruition, but the Committee continues to explore all possible areas of funding to help it meet its requirements. Every pound raised is a step nearer to its goal, and every item donated to the Silent Auction will be a vital part of this. The Committee looks forward to your support of this event.
The Public hall remains closed and the committee is awaiting further reports before it can report back to the community and proceed with any future plans.
