The famous Stonehaven Fireballs have made a very select list of ‘New Year’s Eve cities’ to attend this year, done by the Jury’s Inn.
The interactive flowchart asks you a certain number of questions before arriving at your ideal location to spend New Year’s Eve’.
Stonehaven is one of four Scottish locations that made the list. The other three are Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Biggar.
The flowchart has been designed to help people “find your perfect New Year’s Eve destination”.
The Hogmanay list also includes cities across the UK and Ireland.
Each city or destination has a list of four things that can be done at that destination at Hogmanay.
Stonehaven’s list includes grabbing a beer down at the harbour, enjoying watching the fireballs ceremony, watching the fireballs get thrown into the harbour and the firework display.
Fireballs event organiser Kevin Boyne told the Leader: “It is good to get the recognition and see it going further afield, especially when only four other Scottish places were mentioned.”
Kevin stressed that those who plan on spending Hogmanay in Stonehaven should either attend the Fireballs, or the alternative Open Air in the Square concert in the town’s Market Square, which is being headlined this year by Scottish pop favourites Deacon Blue, and not try to go to both.
