GREENFINGEREd service users at the Forest View Centre in Stonehaven are making sure there is a beautiful display of plants and flowers available for people to buy at their Spring Coffee Morning later this month.

From fuchias and geraniums to petunias and pansies, there will be a wide range of bloomin’ lovely garden greenery to purchase.

The coffee morning, which is an annual event, will be held on Saturday, May 21 between 10am and 12 noon, with the centre keen to attract a good crowd of locals.

There will be tea, coffee, homebaking, a raffle, tombola and whisky trail, in addition to various stalls.

Aberdeenshire Council’s Employment Development Officers have also organised a car wash with the people they are supporting.

Centre Manager Claire Will said: “We do have some regular supporters that come up every year but we have tried to arrange it this time so that it doesn’t co-incide with anything else in the town - I think this year we are the only coffee morning happening in the Stonehaven, so it would be great if more people could come up and see what we do.”

The Forest View Centre opened in 1980 and caters for people with learning difficulties, providing them with services and activities such as well-being therapies, literacy and social training.

Anyone wishing to donate any items for the raffle or stalls, should contact the centre on 01569 764545.
