A woman from Stonehaven has appeared in a national slimming magazine feature telling her story after she lost weight.
21-year-old Amy Wood starred in a double-page spread in the latest issue of Scottish Slimmers magazine after losing nearly three stone.
The magazine piece details her journey from a size 14 to a size eight.
In it, she says: “I’m in my final year at college and I think I just fell in to bad eating habits as a student.
“It was long hours on the course and so I ended up eating at bad times and overindulging.”
She also blamed her boyfriend: “We were always snacking and having late nights takeaways,” Amy added.
She also told the magazine what made her decide to shed the pounds.
“My motivation to lose weight really kicked in when we were looking at photos from last summer,” she said. “I was shocked when I saw them, I hardly recognised myself.
“It was then I realised I really wanted to lose weight.”
She then joined her local Scottish Slimmers class with her mum, Donna, who was a lifetime member.
The Latest issue of Scottish Slimmers, featuring Amy, is out now.
