Healthy Living grant

Four charities in the North East of Scotland have shared over £30,000 in the first tranche of donations from the Bank of Scotland Foundation.

The charities that will benefit from the Foundation’s Small Grants Programme are Mearns and Coastal Healthy Living Network, Fly Cup Catering Ltd, Eassie Nevay and Kirkinch Community Association and Befriend a Child.

Mearns and Coastal Healthy Living Network will use the award to support a project that will help older people to have increased independence in their own homes. The MHLN grant was between £5,000 and £10,000.

Kate Guthrie, Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees and HR Director, Insurance, Lloyds Banking Group said: “We’ve had a fantastic response to the Small Grants Programme and are delighted to make these first awards to very deserving organisations. We know they will bring valuable support in the communities they work closely with.”
