Organisers of the annual Alford KT Bike Run are looking for ways to improve their event, as participation has decreased.
The Alford Karen Teale Bike Run has been going for the last 16 years, with hundreds of riders raising a great deal of money for various worthy causes.
But with participation decreasing, organisers are asking for the opinions of previous or prospective riders to make a positive change. At present, the 13-mile run will remain unchanged, but the 29-mile run could be extended to attract riders requiring more of a challenge.
People are asked to give their views by emailing: email@example.com, or commenting on either the KT Bike Run, or Alford & District Rotary Club Facebook pages.
Karen Teale was a much-loved and respected doctor in Alford, who sadly died young from cancer. It was decided that 50 percent of the proceeds would go to a cancer charity, with the rest split between local groups.
A few years ago, the organisers turned to Alford & District Rotary for support, which was gladly provided, but now they need new ideas.
