As an Irish comedian from Australia, Jimeoin is already a rarity.

And now the sharp-tongued and sharp-witted stand-up is to make his debut at Aberdeen’s Lemon Tree Lounge on Thursday, October 20 as part of a UK and Ireland tour this autumn.

Renowned for his cheeky and sometimes surreal sense of humour and his razor-sharp take on the absurdities of everyday life, Jimeoin has even beaten the world’s scientists to the finish line by introducing the concept of the Speed of Cheese – the more useful and alternative measurement to the Speed of Light - into modern day vocabulary.

His massive Australasian and Irish tours and his adventurous non-stop tours through the Australian outback - playing a mix of hotels, theatres, swimming pools, cattle ranches and anywhere that looked a bit interesting - were filmed for a TV series on BBC Northern Ireland called Jimeoin Down Under.

Recently he has appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Jason Manford’s Comedy Rocks, Best of Just For Laughs and Best of Edinburgh Comedy Festival on TV and is set to make even more television appearances this year.

He has released several top-selling CDs and DVDs and has also built up a strong international following.

Tickets for Jimeoin’s October 20 gig are available online at, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall, His Majesty’s Theatre and The Lemon Tree.
