Kincardineshire Development Partnership (KDP) will hold it’s first EGM later this month in Netonhill.
The meeting will take place on Thursday Feburary 26 in the Bettridge Centre and start at 7pm.
The organisation was launched in Kincardine and Mearns at the end of 2014 to promote the area and support local communities.
It was created to champion local groups, support social and economic development, encourage community engagement and work with existing partners to support community planning in the Kincardine and Mearns area.
Membership of the organisation, which will be led by a committee, is free and open to representatives of all constituted non-party political organisations within the local area.
The committee will comprise representatives of the 12 Kincardine and Mearns community councils and up to six elected community group representatives.
Funding for rural partnerships of this kind is provided by Aberdeenshire Council throughout each of the six areas of the region.
