On Saturday, November 12, the Granite Suite of the Chester Hotel (Queens Road, Aberdeen) will welcome the very first Ladies’ Diamond Lunch for Marie Curie
The first donation the charity received in 1948 was a diamond engagement ring, and this is where Dawn Robertson, a volunteer with the charity got her inspiration from to organise the Diamond lunch.
Guests are invited to attend a fabulous day dedicated to elegance, fun and exclusive shopping. The day starts at 11am with the perfect chance to purchase unique Christmas gifts from any of our stallholders, while enjoying a prosecco reception followed by a delicious gourmet meal, luxury raffle, games and first class entertainment. Original FM DJ John McRuvie is the compere for the day and singer Billy Main shall get guests up on the dance floor until 5pm.
Tickets for the event are £60 per person, the equivalent of three hours palliative care from a Marie Curie nurse. Tickets can be sold individually or why not book a table of 10, and enjoy two free bottles of prosecco on your table for you to enjoy with your guests.
Lauren Edwards, community fundraiser for Marie Curie in Aberdeen City and Shire said ‘I am very much looking forward to the first Diamond Lunch for Marie Curie, it is guaranteed to be a great day! I am very privileged to have Dawn as one of my volunteers – the time and effort she has put in to organising the event is much appreciated and the money raised will help to provide vital nursing care to terminally ill patients and their families’
Tickets are still available so if you would like to attend the first Ladies’ Diamond Lunch for Marie Curie please get it touch with Dawn firstname.lastname@example.org.
