Royal Bank of Scotland is set to park up its mobile branch in Laurencekirk twice a week following the closure of the town’s branch on the High Street.
The closure was first revealed in July this year, with the branch closing its doors for the final time on Wednesday November 4.
The mobile branch, which can accept deposits, cash withdrawals, bill payments, and has an on-board customer phone facilities for contacting central areas to enquire about loans, credit cards, mortgages, insurance, etc, will call in on Tuesdays and Fridays throughout the Mearns.
It will be situated at the Scotmid on the High Street Laurencekirk between 2.05pm and 3.20pm on Tuesday and 10.05am to 11.50am on a Thursday.
It will also be situated throughout the Mearns at the following times and days:
Fettercarin, The Square 1.10pm-1.40pm, Tuesdays.
Auchenblae, The Square, 12.20pm-12.50pm, Thursdays.
Inverbervie, Market Square, 1.55pm-2.25pm, Thursdsays.
St Cyrus, Main Road outside the Public Hall, 2.50pm-3.20pm Thursdays.
RBS revealed in the summer when they announced the closure that they had struck an agreement with the local Post Office, that will allow customers to check their balance, deposit and withdraw funds, and business customers can get coinage.
