The Laurencekirk Business Club latest gathering at Hugo’s devoted their meeting to having a reflection of the Bonfire/ firework event and also involved lots of discussion as to how we can make the event run even better and smoother next year.
After months of organization and fund raising the first Laurencekirk Bonfire for 18 years proved to be a resounding success.
The club wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the members of the Public for making the bonfire night such a success with no incidents.
Commendations also to the pedestrians and car drivers for being safe and responsible on the roads, which helped make this community event pass without a hitch. We cannot thank the community enough for their support.
The members then focused on the next Laurencekirk Business event, which is the late night shopping evening, which is planned for Wednesday the 4th of December from 4.30pm.
This is where the majority of the Laurencekirk High street will stay open till late, providing Christmas shopping opportunities, with the festive backdrop of Carol Singers and Mulled wine on offer.
Both the Dickson Hall and Masonic Hall will have stalls with local craft sellers and Hugo’s will be providing late night suppers. We hope that members of the community will come along and be a part of this festive annual event and use it as a great opportunity to be organized for Christmas!
In the New Year, the LBC plan to organize a social recruitment evening for club members to encourage more local businesses to join.
The next business club meeting will be our Annual General Meeting, to be held at Hugo’s from 7pm on Tuesday Jan 28.
