Lion’s Club to host free OPA concert

Stonehaven and District Lions Club are organising an evening of fun and entertainment when they hold their OAPs concert this month.

The usual selection of music and dancers will be provided plus the regular tea, cake and maybe a wee nip at mid break to help get those feet tapping.

The event will take place in the Town Hall on Thursday, April 16, at 7.30pm, and free tickets can be collected from Stonehaven Library on Evan Street on pril 11 between 10am and noon.

The event is free, and it is hoped that as many people as possible can come along.

Anyone requiring transport can telephone (01569) 765105 (evenings only).

Formed in 1979, the Stonehaven and District Lions Club has more than 30 members of all ages and from all walks of life.

The motto of Lions International Is “We Serve” and their website says: “that’s what we do. We raise money for charities (local, national and international) serve the local community and arrange social events for our members - doing good can be fun too! All the money that we raise for charity goes directly to the charities concerned.”
