A Meal an’ Ale Concert, part of the Doric Festival, will be held in Cookney Hall on Saturday October 6.
The concert is being put on by the Aberdeen Branch of the Traditional Music & Song Association of Scotland and is a popular annual event, featuring a mix of traditional Scottish music and song. The joint comperes are local singers Geordie Murison and John Valentine.
They are joined by singers Jim Taylor, Natalie Chalmers and fiddle playing brothers George and Stuart Davidson. The concert will also feature Irene Watt, clarsach player, with three of her pupils who will perform a mixture of music and verse.
