Mearns Library is celebrating Vintage Crime Week in September and is hosting two free events to get you asking “who dunnit?”
Vintage Crime Week, which runs from Monday, September 7 to Friday, September 11, was created by staff at the library to celebrate crime fiction set in bygone eras.
On Tuesday, September 8, Scottish vintage crime author Sara Sheridan will discuss her writing, inspiration and all things 1950s. The talk will begin at 7pm and tea and biscuits will be available to enjoy while you’re immersed in the world of 1950s crime.
On Thursday, September 10, friends and families will be able join together for some retro gaming fun when the library holds a Cluedo games night. The event begins at 7pm and games and refreshments will be provided.
Both events are free and all are welcome to come along.
For more information on either event or to book your place please called Mearns Library on (01561) 377298
As well as these events, local primary pupils will be visiting the library for an interactive mystery performance and teen author Keith Gray will be giving a talk to S1 pupils.
